This tender antique cameo was made in the late Victorian period, 1880's-1900's and features a classic ornate setting with dainty claw prongs. Charming details highlight a fantastically carved natural carnelian agate in warm red and creamy white. The figure is of a beauty in profile. This striking piece is intricately cast in warm 14 karat rose gold and has a new sterling silver clasp. There are no hallmarks but the gold acid tests as 14 karat. The details and stone color are gorgeous and would make a wonderful addition to a cameo collection. This lovely piece has been cleaned to a bright shine. The brooch measurement is 1 inch by 1 inch. The total weight is 5.3 grams.
