This sweet vintage 10 karat gold ring features a single, bright amethyst gemstone. It is hand cast with lovely clean details throughout. A fantastic piece from the late 1970’s with a style inspired by the Art Deco period. Its elegant and beautiful face is set with a single, fancy cut cabochon. The colors move from a cool blue-purple to a rich lavender. This sweet gem is held in place by a uniquely set open mounting with nice wide prongs. The inside band has a ROMANY hallmark and gold stamp of 10K, and acid tests as 10 karat gold. The stone is in good condition and shows no cracks or surface chips. The stone measures 17.2 mm from north to south and the rise off the finger measures 6.7 mm. The band shows hardly any wear and is ready for years of future use. The total weight of the ring is 3.9 grams.
