This wonderful antique silver and amethyst bracelet features a series of flexible links and a beautifully cast series of geometric embellishments set between purple amethyst gems. Its bold design is characteristic of the aesthetic revival movement of the late Art Deco era of the 1930's-1940's. The silver has been cleaned to a bright finish. The surface condition of the gems is very clean for their age, with one showing a mostly superficial crack that has been reinforced on the reverse with clear epoxy. It is secure in the setting and can be seen in the last photo. There are a few small surface scratches to the silver from use but no previous repairs. There in an original inscription on the reverse that reads, Bob To Jo 6-21-43, for the year 1943. There is no hallmark or silver stamp and the silver is likely 800 grade silver and made in Northern Europe.
The length of the bracelet measures US 7 1/2 inches.
