This fantastic 10 karat white gold ring features a flashy, fancy orange synthetic sapphire gemstone. It is cast with charming simplicity, highlighting just the right amount of detail to the mounting. A truly bold piece from the late 1970's-1980’s. Its beautiful face is set with a very elegant and fiery bright golden orange sapphire cut in the shape of a heart and is set alongside three white topaz gems. The sapphire measures 8.7mm across. The face measures 13.6mm from North to South. This gemstone is held in place by dainty prongs and is set in a wonderful modern open mount design. The rise off the finger measures 6mm. Hallmarks inside the band read SAXONY, 10k and the gold acid tests as 10 karat. The surface of the gemstone shows one small nick under magnification. The setting and band are in wonderful condition. There is a rattle to the stone but it is still secure in the setting. The total weight of the ring is 2.9 grams.
