Solid 10 Karat Light Rose Gold
This darling antique 10 karat light rose gold ring features an outstanding collection of a bright opal gem and old rose cut diamonds in a bypass setting. The colors of this gorgeous opal move from a neon green to a lavender blue and blush pink. A truly fantastic piece from the height of the Edwardian and early Art Deco eras, 1890's-1920's. These fiery gems are held in place by a uniquely crafted dainty prongs in an open basket mount. The center opal measures 3.5 mm and the diamonds measure an average of 3.2 mm- 3.4 mm. Inside the band is no stamp or maker's hallmark but the gold acid tests between 9-10 karat. The diamonds have beautiful fire and sparkle and are full of large facets with a shallow depth. The rise off the finger is 5 mm. The band has a nice width of 2.3 mm and is ready for many years of future use. The weight is 1.8 grams. The ring shows average wear with gold loss and inconsistent edges to the diamonds and light surface wear to the opal.
