Solid 14 Karat Yellow and White Gold
This outstanding Retro 14 karat yellow and white gold ring features a flashy, natural green hued opal center stone and a halo of etched flowers and six beautifully bright diamonds. A truly fantastic piece from the early modernist movement of the 1940's. Its ornate and detailed face is set with a very elegant 7.8 mm by 9.7 mm, green fire filled opal cabochon. The colors of this fantastic gem move from a rich warm orange undertones, to neon hued sky blue, purple and lots of green flashes. This unique gemstone is held in place by wide prongs in a radiating engraved floral setting. All of the diamonds are old cuts and have amazing fire and clean sparkle. Each large diamond measures an average of 2mm. The smaller diamonds measure 1.2-1.5 mm. The face of the ring measures 12.3 mm from North to South and the rise off the finger measures 6 mm. The opal shows very light scratches to the surface. There are hallmarks for M14K. One of the diamonds is set at a slight angle in the setting but is still secure in the setting. The total weight of the ring is 3.3 grams.
The ring is a US size 5 1/4
