This dainty 10 karat light rose gold ring features a soft and subtle blue-green hued opal gemstone. It is hand cast with lovely simplicity, a darling piece from the 1900-1920’s Edwardian or early Art Deco period. Its elegant and beautiful face is set with a single, solid, opal cabochon. The colors move from a neon blue-green to a soft purple, with warm golden flashes atop a white base. This sweet gem is held in place by a uniquely set open claw mounting. The inside band has a maker's mark for Ripley Howland and acid tests as 10 karat gold. The opal is in good condition and shows no cracks or surface chips. This stone measures 6 mm by 8 mm and the rise off the finger measures 6.5 mm. The total weight of the ring is 1.8 grams. The base of the band measures 2.2 mm.
