This bold and dainty antique 9 karat gold and silver ring features a single flashy, deep orange etched paste or glass stone. Beautiful bold patterned silver shoulders are raised with an open cut pattern; creating a playful and elegant design. The yellow gold band is solid 9 karat. A fantastic piece from the late, 1950's-1960’s. The engraved scorpion and scorpio symbol are filled with gold enamel. This lovely gem is held in place by a dainty prongs and is wonderfully lightweight, making it perfect for regular wear. The paste gem measures 10 mm across and the rise off the finger is 4.2 mm. The face of the ring measures 12 mm from North to South. The inside of the band is stamped with a worn mark that shows "& SIL". The ring was made in England. The surface of the gem shows light scratches and nicks. The gold and silver are in wonderful condition with signs of average wear to the base of the band.
