This wonderful antique 10 karat rose gold ring features a slim, wide, cigar style band. Its ornate design is quite characteristic of the late Aesthetic movement of the Victorian and Edwardian eras. The sides are simply detailed with a deep relief pattern of raised flowers in a triangle shape with an angled patten to the shape of the band. Both pattens are classic design motifs used in the late Victorian period of 1890-1920. The design is continued around the entire ring with no seam break in the design. The hight of the band measures 7.5mm. The gold tests as 10 karat but shows a gold stamp and sidewise W, hallmark for JR Woods and Son's. Inside reads the inscription "Elna". The total weight is 3.2 grams. The gold has kept it's original aged patina but can be polished to a bright rose gold shine.
