Vintage 1980's
This bold 10 karat yellow gold ring features a single shiny, black onyx center stone. A truly fantastic piece from the big and bold 1980's! This large gem is held in place by uniquely stepped mount with V prongs and minimal details. It's a wonderfully modern ring ring full of classic 1980's era design elements. The onyx cabochon measures 6mm across and 21mm from North to South. The rise off the finger measures 6.5mm. The inside of the band is stamped 10k with a diamond hallmark and acid tests as 10 karat gold. The condition of this lovely ring is outstanding and shows hardly any wear to the stone and just some light surface scratches the gold band. The stone is secure in the setting for years of future use. The gold has also retained its original patina but could easily be cleaned to a bright shine.
