Late Art Deco Onyx And Diamond Ring In 10 Karat Gold

This bold antique 10 karat yellow gold ring features a single shiny, black onyx center stone. A truly fantastic piece from the late Retro era, 1940's-1950's. This large gem is held in place by uniquely set wide scalloped prongs and a bold mounting. Twin single cut diamond are bead set in white gold, they each measures 1.5 mm. It's a wonderfully bold ring ring full of classic design elements. The onyx cabochon measures 11 mm across and 14.5 mm from north to south. It has a unique domed and faceted  barrel shape that plays with the light in such a dramatic way. The rise off the finger measures 6.4 mm. The inside of the band is stamped 10k. The condition of this lovely ring is wonderful and shows average wear to the band. The stone is secure in the setting for years of future use. The gold has been cleaned to a bright shine. The total weight is 3.9 grams.
